Randy Madison is the interim pastor here at First Baptist Church of Westerlo. He and his wife Elizabeth began their ministry here in September 2015. He works with IPM (Interim Pastor Ministries) an organization with over 25 years of experience helping over 900 churches during the "interim period" between pastors. He and his wife Elizabeth are grateful and excited to be serving the good people of FBCW during this time of transition.
Randy previously pastored three other congregations over the past 38 years in Kansas City, Missouri; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and most recently in Hastings, Nebraska. He attended and graduated from Wheaton College (B. A., 1974), Gordon Conwell Seminary (M. Div., 1977), and Denver Seminary (D. Min., 2009). He and Elizabeth have four wonderful children and eight fantastic grandchildren!
Here at FBCW we want to make disciples by building authentic relationships that spur each other on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24, 25). We want to make the most of every opportunity to share the new life in Christ we have experienced (Matthew 5:13-16; Colossians 4:2-6) as we worship our Lord together.
Transition or "in-between" times in our lives, whether personal or in church, can be challenging. Often we are tempted to navigate the waters of transition by either "treading water" or "rushing ahead" in order to get through the transition. However, times of transition can also be exciting and filled with opportunity! They can often be times of great personal and spiritual growth. Come join us as we seek God, celebrate what He is doing, and discover what He wants us do in our lives!
